Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher/Case Manager to support students with diverse learning needs. You will manage a special education caseload, develop and monitor IEPs, and collaborate with families, general education teachers, and specialists to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Current Colorado teaching license with SPED endorsement, preferably Special Education Generalist K-12.
• Experience providing SPED services in pull-out and push-in settings preferred.
• Commitment to the mission, vision, policies, and values of Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a special education caseload under timelines and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs that support academic growth and social development.
• Conduct special education evaluations and participate in eligibility decisions.
• Provide research-based interventions and individualized instruction.
• Deliver services through instructional models including pull-out and push-in.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, SPED staff, families, and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate, confidential student records and IEP progress.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Implement and monitor behavior management plans.
