Job summary

ISO Workforce Alliance is partnering with a school district in Oakville, WA to recruit a Special Education Teacher / Behavior Program Lead for the 2026–2027 school year. The role focuses on supporting students with behavioral and learning needs through evidence-based interventions and individualized instruction.

The successful candidate will develop IEPs, monitor progress, and collaborate with school teams and families to ensure compliant, effective services while maintaining a positive learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education required or equivalent.
• Washington State Special Education certification required.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, behavior management, and applicable laws.
• Experience with moderate to intensive behavioral needs preferred.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support behavior programs using evidence-based strategies and positive behavior supports.
• Develop and manage IEPs, progress monitoring, and data-driven instructional planning.
• Conduct student assessments and adjust supports based on progress and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and support teams.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
• Support a structured, safe, and positive learning environment during behavioral challenges.
