The chosen candidate will develop IEPs, provide individualized instruction, collaborate with general education teachers and families, and monitor progress to adjust instruction. A state certification in Mild-Moderate or Severe-Profound SPED is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Mild-Moderate or Severe-Profound Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators, parents, and specialists.
• Knowledge of IEP development, behavior management strategies, and differentiated instruction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one, small group instruction or co teaching instruction to students based on their unique needs and learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP documentation.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in school-wide meetings, staff development, and parent-teacher conferences.
