Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 48 semester hours or PRAXIS PARAPRO exam.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Must pass test or meet NCLB requirements.
• Able to obtain Educational Aide Permit with Ohio DOE.
• Work with students who may display challenging behavior.
• Strong communication of ideas and directives.
• Organizational and problem solving skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
• Able to supervise students.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
• Must have physical strength to assist handicapped students.
• Clerical skills; including office machines.
• Experience with computers preferred.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students daily as assigned.
• Assist with classroom instruction and behavior management.
• Support teachers in implementing plans for students with disabilities.
• Perform clerical tasks and operate office equipment as needed.
• Maintain attendance records and support campus routines.
