Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 credit hours completed or equivalent proficiency in instruction of reading, writing, and math.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, twist, balance, stoop, climb steps and reach overhead; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers and support staff with instruction.
• Observe and record student behavior; apply behavior modification techniques per teacher plan.
• Develop professional rapport with teachers and staff.
• Assist students during arrival and dismissal.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Participate in professional development and trainings.
• Supervise students during lunch and recess.
• Organize materials and schedules per guidelines.
• Utilize computers and educational software to support learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned
