Job summary

Montgomery ISD is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to assist in classrooms with students who have disabilities, supporting personal care, self-help skills, and instructional activities. Under the supervision of a certified special education teacher, you will help implement programs, monitor behavior, and support IEPs and health plans while collaborating with related staff.

Minimum requirements include being at least 18, a high school diploma or GED, and an approved educational aide

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning*.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instructional programs.
• Assist specified student(s) with disabilities in various settings to meet personal care and self-help needs.
• Work under supervision of a certified special education teacher and collaborate with related service providers to support IEPs/Health Plans.
