Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 semester hours or PRAXIS PARAPRO exam.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Must pass the written test or meet No Child Left Behind Act educational requirements.
• Ability to obtain Educational Aide Permit with the Ohio Department of Education.
• Ability to work effectively with students, including those with disabilities.
• Communication and organizational skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
• Ability to supervise students.
• Physical strength to lift, assist restrain, or pursue handicapped students.
• Clerical skills; including knowledge of office machines.
• Previous experience working with computers preferred.
• Maintains a good attendance record and is punctual.
