Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the field of education or related subject area.
  • Two years of successful preK-12 teaching or school administration experience in an approved or accredited Nebraska school, or equivalent experience in another state or country.
  • Nebraska Teaching or Administrative Certificate per §79-807 must be possessed by start.
  • Substitution: Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent Master of Arts in Teaching and four years of teaching or administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts district compliance monitoring for schools and infant & toddler programs.
  • Provides technical assistance to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • Assists with collection, analysis, and use of data through ILCD to support student achievement and program improvement.
  • Supports Results Driven Accountability (RDA) monitoring activities and improvement strategies.
  • Plans and implements priority IDEA Part B-611 projects and professional development activities.
  • Administers and manages grant activities and budgets, and evaluates project outcomes for grant compliance.
  • Assists with RFP reviews, State Board approval, GAN awards, and ongoing grant oversight.
  • Provides consultation on effective instructional strategies and supports for students with disabilities.
  • Develops and delivers professional learning experiences and resources on special education, IDEA, Rule 51, and evidence-based practices.
  • Promotes MTSS and improves access to general education for students with disabilities.
  • Supports MTSS training and development of training materials.
  • Maintains regular attendance, valid driver’s license, and travel as required.
