Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 48 college hours OR passing Master Teacher Online Exam within 90 days of employment.
• 20 hours per year of in-service training required.
• All para educator positions are non-exempt, at-will positions.

Responsibilities

• Adapts and provides accommodations of classroom activities; assignments and/or materials to support inclusion.
• Aids students in and out of classroom for assistance with needs and social growth.
• Assists students with personal care needs as required to participate in the general education environment.
• Participates in trainings to meet State requirements and improve strategies.
