Springtree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Roanoke, VA is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. You will evaluate and treat residents to improve speech, language, and swallowing, while collaborating with interdisciplinary staff.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $50.00 to $55.00 per hour, excellent health benefits, a 401(k) plan, and career growth opportunities. Daily pay and PTO are also available.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate residents to assess speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each resident’s plan of care and physician orders.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including speech production, language comprehension, expression, and voice quality.
• Administer dysphagia therapy and recommend appropriate diet textures and liquid consistencies to ensure safe swallowing.
• Conduct clinical swallow evaluations and collaborate on instrumental assessments as indicated.
• Provide cognitive-communication therapy to address memory, attention, problem-solving, and executive function deficits.
• Supervise, coordinate, and direct SLPAs and clinical fellows as applicable.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and swallowing precautions.
