Job summary

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans for speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing disorders.

You will document outcomes, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patient and family education. The role requires a Master's degree in SLP and CFY completion; current state licensure and BLS within policy timelines are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required.
• Current licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in applicable state.
• BLS certification required within time frame by facility policy.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
• VitalStim certification preferred.
• One year of experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
• Document treatment sessions, progress, and discharge plans accurately and timely.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
