Job summary

Elderwood is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. You will evaluate and treat residents to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing, while collaborating with physicians, nursing, and other therapists to maximize outcomes.

We offer flexible scheduling, a supportive mentorship environment for new grads, and a focus on clinical autonomy and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school is required.
• State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• ASHA Cert. (Clinical Competence) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Provide speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing therapy services.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers.
• Participate in care planning and discharge planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional practice standards.
• Support positive clinical outcomes and resident satisfaction.
