Job summary

Sargent Metal Fabricators is seeking a Spot Weld / PEM Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4:30pm-3am). You will set up and run spot weld and PEM equipment, install hardware per blueprints, read technical drawings, and ensure parts meet strict quality standards.

A shift premium of $1.50 per hour applies on 2nd shift. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in metal fabrication, the ability to read blueprints, and the stamina to stand 10–12 hours with lift requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of metal manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with spot welding and PEM insertion preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail required.
• Stand for 10-12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate spot weld and PEM machines safely and efficiently.
• Install hardware onto metal parts per blueprints and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and production documentation.
• Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards.
• Accurately clock production and document quality in ERP system.
• Perform routine inspections and follow safety policies and OSHA rules.
• Communicate production status and equipment issues with team.
