Job summary

Soliant in Birmingham, AL is seeking a dedicated speech-language pathologist for a school-based contract role. You will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders while collaborating with teachers, parents, and a multidisciplinary team to support IEP goals.

The ideal candidate holds a master's in SLP, active state licensure, and CCC-SLP or CFY consideration, with prior school experience and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in SLP from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as an SLP.
• CCC-SLP or CFY candidates considered; strong collaboration skills and prior school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team to develop IEPs.
• Develop and implement therapy sessions tailored to students’ needs and goals.
• Monitor and document student progress with thorough records.
• Engage in regular communication with families and staff to support student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical expertise to educational planning.
