Job summary

Bilingual Therapies in the New Orleans area is seeking a dedicated school psychologist for an on-site, full-time contract aligned with the school calendar. The assignment runs from as soon as possible through late May 2027, with a Monday–Friday schedule that respects summer breaks and major holidays.

You will conduct evaluations, collaborate with educators and families on IEPs and interventions, provide counseling and crisis support, and help maintain compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Current, active Louisiana Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist.
• Experience in school-based psychology or similar role.
• Understanding of special education processes, assessment, and intervention planning.
• Ability to navigate a dynamic school environment with professionalism and adaptability.
• Effective communication with students, staff, and families.
• Must complete district credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs and interventions
• Provide counseling, crisis response, and consultation for students' academic, social, and emotional needs
• Support teams in creating positive, inclusive learning environments
• Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state and district requirements
