Job summary

The librarian will lead information literacy, collaborate with teachers, and oversee the library’s physical and digital collections while fostering a love of reading among students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts School Librarian/Library License required (All Levels).
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date.
• Meets Standards of Effective Teaching as outlined by Boston Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Support students and staff to be critical thinkers and effective users of information.
• Create an equitable learning environment with access to physical and digital collections.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum through information literacy and diverse texts.
• Oversee library collections and equity audits, development, and organization.
• Provide resources supporting curriculum, current events, and school culture.
• Communicate library programs to staff and families.
• Inspire love of reading and storytelling in students.
