Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a Master’s degree in counseling (must have 18 hours in school counseling) or equivalent experience.
• Licensed by the NC Department of Public Instruction in counseling or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement the school counseling program.
• Provide individual and group counseling to meet students’ developmental and remedial needs.
• Collaborate with students, parents, teachers and community personnel to support student needs.
• Coordinate counseling services and assist with the Guidance Curriculum.
• Interpret student data and assist in educational placement decisions.
• Engage in professional development for the virtual learning program use.
