Job summary

Abilities First, Inc. seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist for its Middletown Education Center in Middletown, NY. You will join an interdisciplinary team focused on educational programming for school-age children at all levels of ability, delivering assessments, planning, and therapy in a supportive, inclusive setting that values each student’s strengths and dreams.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–3:30 pm (35 hours/week, 48 weeks/year). Salary range: $65,989.18–$67,989.18.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Licensed as a NYS Speech-Language Pathologist.
• New York State teacher certification is required.
• Experience with oral motor, dysphagia, and augmentative communication is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Initial evaluation and periodic re-evaluation of students.
• Program planning and implementation of therapy within educational settings.
• Schedule caseload with classroom staff and related services.
• Coordinate with students, counselors/teachers and case managers.
• Maintain interdisciplinary communications and report at team meetings.
• Ensure written documentation meets Abilities First policies and deadlines.
