Job summary

Bellefonte Area School District seeks a Speech and Language Pathologist to assess, identify, and provide intervention for students with speech or language needs across multiple district locations.

The role reports to the Director of Special Education and requires Master’s level preparation, PA teacher certification, and a state license. Familiarity with assistive technology is preferred; 9-month position with vacation holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Master's Degree and Educational Specialist for School Speech and Language Pathologist.
• Minimum: Experience teaching speech correction in a full-time position or as a long-term substitute.
• Valid PA Teacher Certification required.
• Valid state license to practice as a Speech Pathologist required.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy to students with impairments.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement therapy in daily activities.
• Conduct assessments and refer targeted students for services as needed.
• Maintain thorough records of therapy progress and equipment inventories.
• Provide information, support, and counseling to families and caregivers.
• Attend professional development and in-service training.
