Job summary

RCM Health Care Services is seeking a School-based Occupational Therapist for Trenton Public Schools, serving K-3 with about 40 students requiring services. Position available full or part time, on-site at one location.

The successful candidate will hold NJ certification as an Occupational Therapist, collaborate with administrators, teachers, and families, and provide evaluation, treatment planning, and progress reporting within the district's guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold NJ certification as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong communication, managerial and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of the laws and legal requirements surrounding the responsibilities.
• Ability to function effectively in a diverse school community.
• Ability to develop, implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Ability to work on site during required hours.
• Certification by NJDOE and NJ license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the occupational capabilities of students referred by school personnel.
• Develop and implement an IEP for students eligible for related services.
• Deliver individual and small group occupational therapy sessions.
• Maintain confidential records and prepare progress reports.
• Collaborate with Child Study Team and school personnel.
• Schedule and manage therapy, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain daily student contact records.
