Job summary

Urban Minority Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Outreach Program is seeking a School Based Mental Health Therapist to deliver counseling and early intervention services to students within a school setting. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• Licensed in the State of Ohio (LSW/LISW, LPC/LPCC, LMFT/LMIFT).
• Experience working with children/adolescents, preferably in school/community settings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a school environment with supervision.
• Experience with diverse populations and counseling in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for children and youth.
• Facilitate individual, small group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices.
• Provide behavioral strategies and emotional support to help students succeed in class.
• Consult with teachers on student needs and behavior plans.
• Maintain timely documentation and adhere to confidentiality and licensing standards.
