Job summary

Heritage Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Clinical Team Lead - School-Based in Decatur, IL. The role combines direct student mental health services with supervision of up to four School-Based Mental Health Professionals to ensure high-quality, ethical care.

Responsibilities include assessments, counseling, crisis intervention, and collaboration with educators and families to support student resilience and well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field.
• Active Illinois LPC or LSW licensure.
• Experience with children/adolescents in clinical or school settings.
• Knowledge of evidence-based mental health interventions and crisis management.
• Age 21+ and valid driver's license.
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health assessments and develop individualized support plans tailored to student needs.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to coordinate care and support student progress.
• Respond to mental health crises and ensure student safety.
• Provide clinical supervision and day-to-day oversight for up to four School-Based Mental Health Professionals.
• Coordinate caseloads and serve as liaison between school-based team and administration/community partners.
