Qualifications

• Desired majors are as follows: Occupational Safety & Health; Safety Management; Public Health; Industrial Hygiene; Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability; Fire Protection & Safety; Other related fields of study.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the internship experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to safely ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs and/or ladders, and lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United Sates without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.
• MIN - $24.09 per hour / MAX - $35.96 per hour

Responsibilities

• Safety and Industrial Hygiene interns/co-ops support all areas of the business, including Refining; Midstream Crude Oil & Products Logistics; Midstream Natural Gas & Natural Gas Liquids Services; and Occupational & Environmental Hygiene.
• Duties may include facility audits; employee training programs; industrial hygiene; equipment maintenance; incident investigations; emergency preparedness and response; governmental inspections; compliance with government regulations; and liaison with Marathon business units.
