Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Robotics - Software Development Engineer Fall Intern/Co-op for 2026. You will design, build, and operate scalable services, collaborating with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to solve real customer problems.

As an SDE-I intern, you’ll own code from design to deployment, contribute to CI/CD practices, and work on robotics, computer vision, and cloud services in an agile environment. This full-time internship starts Sep 2026 across Robotics teams.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's or higher in CS/CE/Data Science or related STEM.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose language (Java, Python, C++, etc.).
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, or object-oriented design.
• Previous internship or project experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and databases is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design and operate new products.
• Design and develop scalable cloud-native solutions and microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are cost-efficient.
• Leverage GenAI/AI tools to improve development productivity.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Work in an Agile environment with CI/CD and on-call responsibilities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
• Develop software components that interact with robotics and fulfillment tech.
