Job summary

The nurse will use the nursing process, document accurately in EHR, and may float to other units to meet patient needs. A BON-approved program and an active RN license are required, with 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Valid RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Communicates effectively, provides feedback, and delegates appropriately.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and ensures ethical patient care.
• Delegates to RNs, LPNs, and other staff as appropriate.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area.
• Provides age-appropriate care and references growth and development guidelines.
