Job summary

Suvida Healthcare in Dallas, TX seeks a Risk Adjustment Coder to support chart reviews and coding accuracy for Medicare-eligible Hispanic seniors. You will translate chart data, input, extract, and validate documentation to improve preventive care delivery.

You will visit providers onsite for education and feedback, aiming for 95% accuracy in daily production. Required: 3+ years ICD-10 coding and Medicare risk adjustment coding, 1+ year CPT/E&M coding, and CPC/CPMA/CRC/CCS-P/RHIA or RHIT

Qualifications

• ICD-10 coding: 3+ years (Required)
• Medicare risk adjustment coding: 3+ years (Required)
• Prospective and concurrent Risk adjustment retrospective review: 2+ years (Required)
• Provider education – 1+ year experience (Required)
• CPT and E&M coding: 1+ year (Required)
• Outpatient Primary Care coding: 1+ year experience (Required)
• Elation EMR (Preferred) and CPC/CPMA/ CRC/ CCS-P/ CCS/ RHIA or RHIT certification (Required)

Responsibilities

• Review all available patient medical records and determine whether diagnosis codes are supported by documentation.
• Implement a pre-visit and post-visit audit process with assigned provider.
• Engage physicians and staff to build and maintain a productive working relationship.
• Ensure frequent touchpoints with providers and schedule chart review meetings.
• Assist in obtaining medical records to support audits requested by Health Plans.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws related to coding and documentation.
• Educate physicians and office staff on billing policies and documentation.
• Identify missing documentation and coding opportunities; escalate problems to management.
• Visit providers onsite to provide education and feedback based on chart reviews.
• Meet daily production and quality goals (95% accuracy).
• Apply knowledge of CPT/HCPCS Level II/ ICD-10 CM/Modifiers for coding.
• Demonstrate knowledge of HEDIS codes and NCQA guidelines.

Education

High School or Associate’s Degree Required

CPC /CPMA/ CRC/ CCS-P/ CCS/ RHIA or RHIT certification (Required)
