Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to educate students with diverse learning, cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution (required).
• Experience in a Special Education classroom with significant disabilities (preferred).
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required).
• Core content certifications or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet (required).

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs and IEP goals.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload and track progress.
• Coordinate related services and serve on IEP teams.
• Communicate progress with families weekly and maintain gradebook.
• Attend weekly meetings and after-school duties as needed.
