Job summary

Qualifications

• Current NBRC CRT certification.
• Valid U.S. state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong understanding of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing to evaluate respiratory status.
• Administer prescribed respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation support.
• Monitor and document patient responses, adjusting care plans with the healthcare team.
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with healthcare standards.
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and device use.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide life-support interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with policies.
