Job summary

Allies Inc. in New Jersey seeks direct care staff to support individuals with I/DD in residential and community settings. You will implement interventions, communicate professionally, and respond to crises while maintaining safety and dignity for the people we support.

The role requires flexibility, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work varied shifts. Training includes CPR/First Aid, Crisis Management, HIPAA, and more to meet accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
• Valid unrestricted driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Works assigned shift as instructed and may cover other shifts.
• Provide community integration via focused recreational activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living and program operations with respect and dignity.
• Provide 1:1 supervision as needed, stay awake and engaged on all shifts.
• Medication monitoring and documentation following procedures.
• Ensure daily program schedule and interventions are documented per plans.
• Complete in-house documentation including MARs and monthly reports.
• Attend required training related to Accreditation and CQI.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and activities per treatment plans.
• Support positive network between individuals, families, case managers and community members.
• Encourage a clean, safe, and comfortable environment with hands-on assistance.
• Participate in admissions and treatment team meetings.
