Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with 3 years coding, research or billing experience.
• Preferred AHIMA, AAPC, HCCA, ACRP or SoCRA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs audits in assigned areas (Hospital, Provider or Research) and reports results.
• Develops and delivers education/training on compliance guidelines and procedures.
• Analyzes procedures to identify potential violations and provides recommendations.
• Collaborates with managers to identify abnormal trends in coding, billing, and research.
• Interacts with external auditors to ensure compliance of an area.
• Duties may evolve; management may modify responsibilities as needed.
