Job summary

Sunshine Health Facilities in Spokane Valley is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support individuals on their mental health journey within our care continuum. You will deliver evidence-based speech therapy, document precisely, and ensure billing aligns with Medicare requirements while maintaining high standards of care.

You’ll collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, develop plans of care, educate staff and families, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Speech Therapy school.
• Current license by Washington State Board of Speech Therapy.
• Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement, billing and documentation standards.
• Equivalent experience is not accepted in place of required education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reporting, scheduling, and billing per standards.
• Evaluate patient abilities and develop treatment plans.
• Synthesize evaluation results into an appropriate plan of care.
• Develop intervention plans based on needs and evaluations.
• Provide speech therapy interventions to improve skills.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to align plans.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support participation.
• Adapt environment and equipment; train staff.
• Educate patient, staff, and family on skills and safety.
• Plan and conduct continuing education for facility staff.
• Monitor and reassess effects of intervention.
• Prioritize and schedule work tasks independently.
• Manage inventory of equipment and tools.
• Maintain records per standards and Medicare policy.
• Maintain productivity at departmental standards.
