Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience sorting recyclable materials in a recycling facility.

Responsibilities

• Sort and segregate recoverable materials from incoming waste.
• Deposit recoverable materials into the correct chute.
• Assist other sorters with heavy items as needed.
• Follow safety policies, including stopping the conveyor in emergencies.
• Inspect loads for unacceptable waste and remove it when required.
• Communicate with equipment operators about loads needing special attention.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
