Job summary

Covenant Learning Solutions (CLS) seeks a Recreation Supervisor at our Job Corps center in Jacksonville, FL. The role leads the recreation program, supervises staff, coordinates activities, and ensures safe, engaging experiences for students outside the classroom.

You will develop partnerships with community organizations, plan diverse programming, and uphold program standards while collaborating with other departments to support student needs and center operations.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience supervising recreation, athletics, youth development or related program preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience working with youth or young adults, particularly at‑risk or underserved populations, preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL, preferably with a passenger endorsement, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, train, and develop recreation staff with clear performance expectations.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee recreation, leisure-learning, athletic, and student engagement activities.
• Develop monthly and weekly recreation schedules with varied activities for students.
• Maintain a visible presence and ensure proper supervision and safety.
• Develop relationships with community organizations and expand opportunities for students.
• Coordinate off-Center recreation activities including planning, staffing, transportation and supervision.
