Job summary

Open Sky Community Services in Massachusetts seeks a dedicated Behavior Technician to assist the BCBA in implementing Positive Behavior Support Plans and delivering home and community interventions. The role focuses on teaching communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

You will support documentation, crisis management, and staff coaching to ensure consistent, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in group living is preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification within 3 months is required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing documentation within prescribed timelines.
• Provide crisis management and clinical guidance to staff.
• Coach staff to provide one-on-one supports for daily living skills.
• Provide direct supports to teach regulation strategies, coping skills, and daily living skills.
• Carry out clinical assessments in collaboration with program and clinical teams.
