Qualifications

• ARRT certification current and active.
• Kansas Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) license current and active.
• BLS certification current (preferred or required).
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completed a Board-approved radiography education program.
• Obtain and maintain Kansas Radiologic Technologist license before performing procedures.
• Renew license annually and complete required CE for renewal.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by licensed providers.
• Verify patient identity and orders before imaging.
• Explain procedures and position patients to obtain quality images.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow ALARA principles to minimize exposure and use shielding.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Assist radiologists and physicians during imaging procedures.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain and report equipment malfunctions.
