Job summary

Spectra Tech is seeking a proactive Q-cleared Project Planning and Controls Specialist to join the MESA Project Planning and Controls team in Albuquerque, NM. The selected candidate will work closely with technical leads, managers, and the business team to develop and manage cost plans and schedules, guiding decisions with strong communication and evidence-based analysis.

The role emphasizes collaborating with project leads to execute schedule development, monitoring, and integrated change

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, accounting, finance, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons Product Realization Process (systems and components).
• Experience with schedule development and Primavera P6.
• Experience with resource loading for realistic schedules, cost control, risk mitigation, and execution.
• Experience with Earned Value Management principles.
• Active DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, prepare, validate, and maintain cost estimates and baseline budgets.
• Provide detailed project status reporting within project controls.
• Analyze forecasts to identify issues and enable timely corrective actions.
• Develop and monitor project schedules and integrated change control with leads and managers.
• Collaborate with managers and leads to influence decisions on WBS, schedule, and budget.
• Understand scope to build and status schedules and budget profiles.
• Develop EAC using project controls tools.
• Compile and present data from multiple sources to meet on-demand needs.
• Research and evaluate project information to propose practical solutions.
