Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join Kennestone Hospital on-site.

The PTA will support the physical therapy team by implementing treatment plans, selecting appropriate activities, and helping patients regain mobility and independence. Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will contribute to education for patients and families, document sessions, and ensure compliance with hospital standards.

Competenze

• Requires PTA licensure and CPR/BLS certification as applicable.
• Strong communication and customer service focus required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, staff, and patients.

Mansioni

• Implements the physical therapy treatment plan under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Selects appropriate treatment activities to progress patient towards goals.
• Revises goals/plan of care in collaboration with the physical therapist and patient/family.
• Provides ongoing patient/family education and training.
• Provides discharge instructions and follow-up guidance.
• Acts as a referral source for rehab services to staff and families.
