Wellstar Health System seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support the physical therapy team in planning and delivering mobility and function-improving care. You will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and guide patients toward goals across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities include documenting sessions, providing education, and coordinating discharge instructions and follow-up with patients and families.

Qualifications

• PTA certification and BLS required.
• Strong communication and teamwork essential.
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.

Responsabilités

• Implements the physical therapy treatment plan under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Selects appropriate treatment activities to progress patients toward goals.
• Revises goals/plan of care in collaboration with the physical therapist and patient/family.
• Provides discharge instructions, follow-up, and referrals as appropriate.
• Documents each treatment session according to departmental protocols.
