Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolinas Rehab: Gastonia – Outpatient Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our 40-hour-per-week clinic. Schedule is typically Monday through Friday, with some variation by day; PTA will have direct clinic support from the supervising physical therapist on site.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate Degree as a PTA, an applicable state PTA license, and BLS/HCP certification.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is required.
• Applicable state PTA license is required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient's medical, mental and emotional needs at admission and on an on-going basis.
• Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient and family needs, including discharge planning and utilization of resources.
• Acts as patient advocate; treats patients with compassion and implements plan of care in a timely manner.
• Communicates patient information and thoroughly documents therapist's actions and plan of care.
