Job summary

Quinault Wellness Center in Washington is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and integrated behavioral health care in our outpatient setting. You will collaborate with physicians, counselors, and addiction specialists to support patients on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Licensed ARNP in good standing with the State of Washington.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology.
• Experience with substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for patients.
• Perform medication assessments and management, including crisis intervention.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
• Provide ongoing psychiatric care and therapeutic interventions.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications per state and federal regulations.
• Interpret lab tests and diagnostic data (e.g., EKGs, renal function).
• Collaborate with counselors, SUD professionals, PCPs, and psychiatrists.
• Educate patients, families, and staff about conditions and medications.
• Maintain compliant electronic medical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement and team meetings.
• Help develop evidence-based clinical protocols.
