Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. is seeking a Project Manager to support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Surface Haulage PM system. You will manage small to mid-sized projects, define scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and keep stakeholders aligned with delivery commitments.

The role partners with engineering groups and cross-functional teams, applies standard tools and processes, and reports to the Senior Project Manager. Typical travel is 5–10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1–3 years of project management or related coordination experience.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and supporting projects through planning, execution, and closeout.
• Working knowledge of project management disciplines, standards, tools, and business processes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for clear presentations and meetings.
• Schedule management experience with waterfall and agile.
• Excellent time management and organization skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Experience with portfolio/project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Creates and executes project work plans and revises as needed.
• Coordinates cross-functional internal resources and third-party consultants to implement technical and business solutions.
• Applies project management standards and tools to teams across the organization.
• Escalates risks, issues, and resource conflicts and helps develop corrective actions.
• Manages day-to-day aspects of small to mid-sized projects: scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues.
• Communicates project status to sponsor, management, and stakeholders.
• Supports ongoing development and improvement of project management practices.
• Keeps abreast of trends and best practices to improve tools and processes.
• Tracks action items and follows up on requests.
