Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Corrections in Riverton, Wyoming, is seeking a Probation and Parole Agent to supervise and support offenders, assess risks and needs, and develop individualized case plans in community settings.

The Field Services Division focuses on public safety, collaboration with partners, and evidence-based interventions to promote successful reintegration and pro-social behavior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field required.
• 0-2 years of progressive work experience in Adult Probation and Parole preferred (or substitution with 3-5 years).
• Experience with case management, risk/need assessments, and report writing expected.

Responsibilities

• Utilize validated risk/needs assessments to set supervision levels and develop case planning goals.
• Collaborate with government and private entities to support client behavior change.
• Identify motivators of change through motivational interviewing to aid case plans.
• Prepare reports for Parole Board, Courts, and other stakeholders with analysis and recommendations.
• Conduct client visits in offices, homes, or workplaces to verify compliance and support positive behavior.
• Maintain caseload supervision including various offenses and rehabilitation efforts.
