The position requires completion of an accredited Respiratory Care program, NBRC CRT/RRT certification, and a Kentucky license, plus BCLS within 90 days and ACLS/NRP/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of accredited Respiratory Care program.
• NBRC Certification (CRT/RRT) required.
• Active Kentucky Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and monitor patients with respiratory diseases and conditions.
• Provide invasive and non-invasive ventilator support as ordered.
• Perform diagnostic respiratory tests as part of patient assessment.
• Assist in quality improvement projects and manage equipment and supplies.
