Job summary

CHARLESTON COUNTY is seeking a Pretrial Analyst to perform professional investigative work on rotating shifts, 7 days a week, to provide timely information to the criminal courts. The role supports judicial decisions to release or detain defendants pending trial and to prescreen for indigence.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and strong Excel skills to manage data and produce concise reports for court use. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with data organization, sorting, and formulas.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software and databases.

Responsibilities

• Reviews defendants’ rights, obtains and verifies information, and analyzes data to support decisions.
• Produces a quality summary report for judges to use in pretrial release or detention decisions.
