Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Pre-Engineered Technician to independently install, commission, inspect, test, maintain, and repair pre-engineered fire suppression systems. You will ensure compliance with NFPA standards and manufacturer requirements while serving customers across various sites.

The role requires reading manuals, generating accurate reports, and communicating system status to clients. Must travel to job sites and respond to emergencies as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 17/17A/96 and manufacturer requirements.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Install, inspect, test, and repair pre-engineered systems per NFPA and manufacturer specifications.
• Replace/charge agents, service cylinders/cartridges, and verify detection and actuation.
• Identify deficiencies and perform corrective actions; ensure AHJ compliance.
• Read and apply manufacturer manuals and service bulletins.
• Complete accurate inspection reports, deficiency lists, and close-out documentation.
• Communicate system condition and recommendations to customers.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Respond to emergency service calls.
