Job summary

Goodlife Physical Medicine is seeking an energetic Physical Therapy Assistant to support patients across our South Bay clinics in Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Torrance and Seal Beach. You will implement treatment plans, guide exercises, and help with modalities to drive rapid, lasting improvements.

The role requires an accredited PTA degree, active state license, CPR/BLS, and EMR familiarity. We offer medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, holidays, CME and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current state license/certification to practice as a PTA in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Working knowledge of EMR systems; Athena is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork under supervision of a licensed PT.

Responsibilities

• Implement plan of care components including therapeutic exercises and mobility drills.
• Guide patients through exercises, ensuring proper form and safety.
• Apply modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) per PT instruction.
• Perform manual therapy within scope and delegated by PT.
• Assist transfers, positioning, gait training, and use of assistive devices.
• Monitor patient response and progress; report changes to PT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery process.
• Document care in EMR promptly and accurately.
• Communicate progress with PT and plan of care re-evaluation needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stocked treatment area.
