Job summary

Methodist Hospitals in Gary is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across all ages who have suffered loss of function or pain after illness, trauma, or surgery.

You will design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, document progress, and educate patients and families to promote maximum independence. Collaborative, safety-conscious care with a multi-disciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient oral and written communication.

• Experience treating patients from infant to geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely.
• Educates patients and families about treatment plans and progress.
• Evaluates muscle strength, ROM, endurance, balance, pain, skin integrity, and functional status.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews.
• Supervises PT and PTA students as needed.
• Supervises PTA and Aides as needed.
