Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on physician referral and age‑appropriate assessment.
• Plan and implement individualized treatment programs to achieve goals with patients and/or families.
• Coordinate patient care and clinical activities through written and/or verbal communication with patients, families, therapists, clinical leaders, managers, physicians, and other members of the health‑care team.
• Document procedures in the patient’s medical record and complete other patient‑care related forms in compliance with regulatory agencies and departmental/hospital policies and procedures.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and collaborate with therapy staff, support staff, volunteers, and students to achieve efficient clinical activity and quality patient care.
• Participate in patient and departmental/professional activities as requested, including presenting and attending in‑services, performance improvement, program development/evaluation, new‑employee orientation, committee membership, peer review, and staff meetings.
