Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to assist patients in maximizing physical function and adjusting to disabilities. You will interpret evaluations and test results, determine treatment goals and plans, administer manual exercises, and instruct patients and families in using assistive devices.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy required.
• Internship or apprenticeship 1–2 years preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Teaching others how to do something.

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides inservice education programs for nursing personnel as needed.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with both patient and family.
• Participates in Hospital-wide quality process.
