Job summary

UVA Community Health, part of the UVA Health academic system, is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide therapy services in alignment with licensure, evaluate patients, establish plans of care, implement treatments, and document care. The role includes supervising therapy assistants, technicians, students, and volunteers as applicable.

This is a non-exempt, full-time position with day shifts. Virginia licensure or Compact Privilege is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited PT program.
• No experience necessary.
• Virginia State Therapy License, Physical Therapist Trainee in Virginia, or Compact Privilege.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services consistent with licensure to clients including evaluation, plan of care, implementing treatment, directing, and educating patient and/or caregiver and documentation.
• Supervise therapy assistants, technicians, students, and volunteers as applicable.
• Communicate with other health care providers regarding client care and treatment plans and complete insurance authorization requirements.
• Attend continuing education programs and contribute to rehab department performance.
